Realme India CEO teases the first-ever laptop by the company

Madhav Sheth, the India CEO of Chinese smartphone maker Realme, has teased the first-ever laptop by the company. After smartphone and smartphone accessories, the company is getting serious about this new product category, something that its rival Xiaomi has already forayed into with the Mi NoteBook series. Sheth just gives a brief glimpse of the product, kept inside an envelope and just kind of peeking out of it. It has a silver-grey steely finish, which could be inspired from Apple’s MacBooks.

Since it is Realme, you could expect a low-priced laptop which would best suit school students and people whose digital work does not involve heavy applications and multitasking. Or, it could be that Realme introduces a range of laptops across the price range of Rs 40,000 Rs 60,000. In this range, it could bundle the Intel Core-i5 processor and may even pack in a corei3 model for the cheapest variant. Like the Realme phones, the build quality of the laptop that has been teased looks sturdy.
Realme’s rival Xiaomi had earlier introduced the Mi NoteBook and the Mi NoteBook Horizon laptops. The Mi NoteBook 14 was launched at a starting price tag of Rs 41,999 for the 256GB version. The 512GB variant was launched at Rs 44,999 and the 512GB variant with Nvidia graphics came priced at Rs 47,999. The laptop is powered by the 10th generation Intel Core i5 processor and comes in three variants. The Mi NoteBook 14 Horizon Edition, on the other hand, features a 14-inch full HD display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution.
