Eight more dengue cases reported in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: At least eight dengue cases were reported in the city on Monday. Besides, dengue larvae were found at 29 places during a survey conducted by the health department at various places.
So far, 331 dengue cases have been found since January, including 258 in September. Dengue mosquitoes breeding have been found at over 1,350 places this year.
The fresh dengue cases reported at community healthcare centres at Turiya Ganj, Aishbagh, Indiranagar, Chandernagar and NK Road. All patients were said to be stable and sent home after prescribing medicine, said officials.
In charge vector-borne disease unit, Dr KP Tripathi said, “Larvae were found at 29 places in residential colonies situated in Geetapalli, Malihabad, Turiya Ganj, Lajpat Nagar, Faizullaganj, Balaganj and Jankipuram. As many as 1,987 houses were scanned.”
